The United Kingdom has a robust IT industry and the economy remains
strong. There are plenty of high paying software coding contracts and
jobs available in London and elsewhere. To work in the UK, a software
coder must be either a UK citizen, have the right of abode in the UK or have
a work visa of some sort.
The
Working Holiday Maker program allows Commonwealth citizens up to the age
of 30 years old to work in the UK for up to two years. Children of
British citizens have the right of abode in the UK and can work there
indefinitely. Citizens of all European Community member nations are
also permitted to work in the UK.
